I would say that I’m pretty picky when it comes to gadgets (my friends even say I might have OCD), and ever since I found out about these “shield” protectors, I ALWAYS HAVE TO get them to cover any new gadget I get.
Having been a Zagg user before, I really have to recommend Skinomi’s version of the shield. The process of installing is the same as Zagg’s. Remember to just take your time and don’t rush it! Use the provided card to smooth out the air pockets. Don’t worry about the micro bubbles/streaks that might still be visible right after the installation. THESE BUBBLES DO GO AWAY! It just takes a bit of time for the “curing” process to complete. Mine took about 4 days to clear up.
The quality and protection the film provides makes it all worth it. It’s not like some cheap material, and the texture really makes it feel that the device is protected. I have Skinomi protectors on my iPhone and PSP, and I have used their lifetime replacement program for the iPhone. Just give them a call (they will ask for your order number), pay a small shipping fee, and they’ll send you out a replacement.
I totally recommend the Skinomi protectors. Just remember to not rush the installation, and what you get is a top-notch screen protector.

The Skinomi TechSkin is truly amazing. I was a little hesitant about it at first because It required a spray on solution for application but after using it to install it on the Ipad it truly makes life alot easier. It was very easy to install, it only took about five minutes and a couple more minutes of just staring at how it looks. Overall, at least for the Ipad screen protector, it is a good idea to get an extra set of hands to help place it on to the device and then you can make the final adjustments your self. As in the directions there was streaking and microbubbles after the installation, but I did this at 9 at night and the next morning everything was gone and crystal clear just as the instructions said. One big goodies was that when I did install the screen protector I was pretty rough with the squeegee and i had left noticeable lines and zigzags all over the screen protector. These were pretty deep scratches, but just as the product detail says that this product will selfheal, the next morning along with the microbubbles and the streaking all the scratches went away. I would highly recommend this product, in fact I liked it so much that I just purchases it for the Droid X!

The microbubbles wasn’t an issue for me. I followed the instruction, then found that there are tons of microbubbles. But as described in the instruction, those bubbles went away over time. Bigger ones took almost a day but mostly they disappeared within hours.
My concern is the friction of the film – I feel a lot of resistance when I slide my finger on it. And it’s a lot. Swiping the screen in iBook can be a bit uneasy experience with this one.

I bought this for my ipad and it sucks! It has large bubbles all over it. I have put on enough screen protectors to know that this is the product. I have 4 ds’s, psp, ipod touch, etc. all with screen protectors and no bubbles. I would look elsewhere.

The skin does help keep the surface clean. It was difficult to install without getting some bubbles and dust under the film, despite my husband trying to create a lint proof environment.
