ITouch phone apps or not?
Well it all depends on whether you believe ITouch phone apps are here to stay or their way as is all current day techno gadgets… but that is for another conversation.
About the ITouch phone apps; Whatever you want to do there’s an app for that. Hundreds of thousands, actually.
The App Store offers and get a list of new apps and to see what’s hot. Peruse by category. Or if you know exactly what app you’re looking for, find it with a quick search.
Apple has vowed to create magic every time it launches something new and mesmerize its customers. ITouch seems a bit daunting at first but it is pretty user friendly.
At first glance here are some specs on the ITouch:
Height: 4.4 inches (111.0 mm) / Width: 2.3 inches (58.9 mm) / Depth: 0.28 inch (7.2 mm) / Weight: 3.56 ounces (101 grams)1
Display:
* 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen Multi-Touch display
* 960-by-640-pixel resolution at 326 pixels per inch
Cameras, photos, and video
* Video recording, HD (720p) up to 30 frames per second with audio; still photos (960 x 720) with back camera
* VGA-quality photos and video up to 30 frames per second with the front camera
* Tap to control exposure for video or stills
* Photo and video geo tagging over Wi-Fi
The official channel to obtain third-party applications for the iTouch phone apps is Apple’s iTunes Store. The App Store application, available in all versions of the iTouch OS from version 2.0 (or Software Update 2.0) onwards, allows users to browse and download applications from an online repository with the Store.

Such software development kit (SDK) was officially announced on March 6, 2008, at an Apple Town Hall meeting. The iTouch SDK allows developers to make applications for the iTouch after paying a fee to join the development team. The developer can then set the price for the iTouch applications they develop and will receive 70% of the sale price. The developer can also opt to release the iTouch application for free and will not pay any additional costs.
Next the iTouch was released (iPhone OS version 1.1.1), hackers were able to “jailbreak” the device through a TIFF exploit. The resulting application, “Installer.app”, enabled the user to download a selection of unofficial third-party programs. Some of these give the user more control over the iTouch than is officially available, and also makes it work on other operating systems.
The Apple Store downloading applications to iTouch is easy. Just tap the App Store icon, browse the categories that interest you, and then download your purchases wirelessly. Some are even free. Once you own anapplication, the App Store automatically notifies you when there’s an update. When You shop the App Store on your computer, then sync applications to your iTouch using iTunes. You can clearly see the advantage over here is that the application you purchase through this website will get you the updates as it would not necessarily if gotten elsewhere.
In simple steps lets see how to install applications on iTouch;
a) Download the latest version of iTunes and the iTouch 2.0 Update.
b) Go to the iTunes Store, click on the “App Store” button in the navigation menu and find an application you would like to install on your iTouch. The App Store will include both free and paid applications.
c) Click “Get App” and enter your iTunes Store account information. The application will begin downloading.
d) Plug your iTouch into your computer using your USB cable to begin the syncing process.
e) Click on the “Applications” tab in the menu, this will come up automatically after your iTouch has been connected to your computer.
