The spring in the r4 card is adding to the difficultness of use and was affecting 5% of the cards main production. This was the big problem as this difficultness can cause even the mechanism to break after which the micro sd card would no longer could go inside of the r4 card. This is the reason the team r4 improved the r4 card spring mechanism problem and came out with the better, newer and reliable version of r4 card.
The carte DS was the most popular Nintendo DS card on the market at before. It has been available for quite some time now and it is still one of the favourites available today. The R4 DS card does all our would want to be able to play music and watch videos on our DS.
The R4i SDHC is the first DSi card released for the R4 brand. It was created by the R4i-SDHC.com Team for the Nintendo DSi but is also backwards compatible with the Ninteno DS and Nintendo DS Lite.The R4i SDHC 1.4 compatible DSi 1.4 consoles, DSi XL Console.
The limitations with this card are that it does not accept memory cards with capacities bigger than 2GB as this device is not SDHC compatible. However 2GB is more than enough space for most people. The other limitation is that this card is NOT compatible with the latest Nintendo DSi game console.
The removable r4 card works as an adaptor for your ds to transfer the data. The slot at the back of r4 card is to insert micro-sd card in it. In that micro-sd card you can store firmware, games, apps, mp3s or whatever file or application you like to be inside your r4 card. After booting up your Nintendo ds r4 you would get a menu on your r4 card which would grant you to select from games or multimedia.
