Shutter Island Gets Release Date Of 19Th November

Shutter Island gets release date for 19th of November. The original release date for this epic film was supposed to be towards the end of 2009, but was suddenly pushed back, but finally now has a release date.

This graphic story is set in 1954 follows a US marshal named Teddy Daniels who is dispatched to an Island along with his new partner. The Island has just one major landmark “Ashecliffe Hospital, which is a prison like mental hospital. The reason for Daniels being dispatched there is because one of the hospitals mass murderers has escaped and is missing. A hurricane then hits the island making the whole of the island a prison and then the simple case turns into a surreal puzzle making Daniels question what is actually real and who if anybody can be trusted!

The film is being brought to the big screen by Paramount Pictures, and will include star actors such as Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, Michelle Williams and Mark Ruffalo

The film is taken from the novel “Shutter Island” written by Dennis Lehane in 2003. It is said that Lehane took his inspiration for his novel from the 1960’s film “The Trial”.

Paramount are reported to be spending £50 million to £60 million on marketing this film to make sure that it turns out to be a blockbuster and from the trailers of the movie it looks sure to be a smash. With trailers of the movie now hitting the internet the buzz for this long anticipated film is really building and there are sure to be cues for the cinemas come the opening date.
